Right now, Trump, Russia, China, Christian Nationalists, and others are stirring up a massive amount of fear, confusion, and polarization through disinformation. What is 4th generation warfare? I decided to rebroadcast an important interview I did in 2022 with a top intelligence expert. You can read all about it below.
One key component of Trump’s campaign is the silencing of critics. I was recently interviewed about this vital issue for pieces in Salon and AlterNet. I was also cited in a piece in Medium on the polarization that has resulted from Trump’s divisive rhetoric; you can find all three pieces linked below.
My talk at the ICSA conference in Barcelona, Spain, is available to watch on YouTube. The title was Combating Cult Mind Control in 2024 around the World.
In 2018, while researching The Cult of Trump for Simon and Schuster, I was advised to read Dr. Scaminaci’s academic writings on Fourth Generation Warfare (4GW). What is this, you ask? It is a form of psychological warfare. In the intelligence world, it is known as an advanced form of psyops (psychological operations). It was first described in writing by an American military strategist, William S. Lind, in the 1980s. It aims to delegitimize leaders and institutions and sow distrust, confusion, and disorientation to ready people to be mind-controlled by an authoritarian leader.

Authoritarian leaders have long known that the best way to keep control is to silence any criticism. From the beginning, Trump has done everything he can to ensure that no one pays attention to those of us dedicated to warning the world about him and others like him. I was recently interviewed for these important articles in Salon and AlterNet; please read them, share them, and let me know what you think!
Author Kerry K. Davies recently cited me in her thoughtful examination of the polarized political landscape, using my Bite Model ™ to show the psychological manipulation currently being used by what is now the Party of Trump. I think you’ll find it a fascinating read.
As always, please let us know what you think about these pieces or what you’d like to see us discuss in the future. Thanks so much!
