Mental Health Experts Gather in Capitol to Warn the Public
This past Friday, I participated in a major conference organized by the World Mental Health Coalition in Washington, D.C. Experts in psychiatry and psychology gathered from around the world to warn the public of Donald Trump's dangerous mental state, as evidenced by his observed behavior and actions. I was honored to be one of the panelists in this crucial discussion.
Even more frightening than Donald Trump are some of the shadowy organizations backing him; in this week’s episode of the Influence Continuum, I spoke with author and journalist Gareth Gore about his latest book, Opus: The Cult of Dark Money, Human Trafficking, and Right-Wing Conspiracy inside the Catholic Church. Â
While the nature of this election is vital to saving our democracy, it’s also important not to lose sight of other vital issues in psychology. My most recent blog post in Psychology Today speaks to a perennial issue in the field: the danger of falsely implanted memories. While this topic is turbulent and controversial, I feel it is important to take a balanced, nuanced look at the realities and myths of this all-too-misunderstood subject.
The World Mental Health Coalition, headed by Dr. Bandy X. Lee, organized an expert group of eighteen nonpartisan experts to discuss Donald Trump and his dangerous mental state. Dr. Lee has just released a new book she edited, The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 40 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Warn Anew. I was honored to be included in contributing something on The Cult of Trump. Journalist Anthony Davis did a two-part segment for his 5 Minute News on the conference. I am in part one, but you’ll want to watch both!

Gareth Gore, journalist and editor, helped viewers unpack the financial side and more in the shadowy topic known as Opus Dei on this episode of the Influence Continuum. He has over two decades of experience writing and has been published in Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and International Financing Review.

False memory refers to the phenomenon where we recollect events that never occurred, or we might remember them differently from how they happened. False memories are more common than you may realize! Since our experiences and knowledge frame memories, we constantly compile new information that reshapes our memories.
As always, please let us know what you think about these pieces or what you’d like to see us discuss in the future. Thanks so much!
Despite the Democrats spending all their money on illegals so that they can cheat the vote?? No democracy under the left socialists
