I abandoned my family. I emptied my bank account. Dropped out of college. Destroyed 400 original poems.
It didn’t take long to realize my cult leader, Moon, was lying.
Thankfully, my family intervened, and two courageous souls, Gladys and Nestor, helped free me from the Moonies.
Today, I proudly celebrate 49 years of freedom.
